Billboard for the new movie “Where the wild things are” which comes out in Australia on 3rd December this year. This is a good spot for the billboard, here in Williamstown, as much of the movie was filmed here. Other locations included Gembrook, Werribee Quarry, Flinders and the Melbourne Central City studios in the docklands precinct. My son was one of the picture doubles for Max in the movie and we got to see some amazing scenes. The character of Max is played by Max Records from America, the movie is directed by the wonderful Spike Jonze. (He also shot the music clip for Bjork’s awesome “Oh so quiet” amongst much other great work.) The movie is based on the famous childrens book by Maurice Sendak. Lucky me, I’m off to the preview for “Where the wild things are” this Sunday!
