Over Summer I went to Phillip Island, two hours South-East of Melbourne. The Phillip Island Motogp is run there each yaer in November. Adjacent to the circuit is a replica (one fifth the size of the real one) where you can race go karts. We had a ball over our twenty minutes, using one single kart and one tandem kart for two people. Full details can be found here.

On the opposite side of Phillip island to Cat bay is Pyramid Rock. You will need to venture down a dirt road, but at the end is a walk which takes you here, Pyramid Rock. Each year in late December in the adjacent fields, the ‘Pyramid Rock Festival‘ is held. Find details about the festival and who is playing here.

Just off the main road between Kinglake and Kinglake West. I can only imagine how the house looked before the fires. Devastating.
