Older work by RONE in Fitzroy. “Won’t Stop”. HDR
New work, half done, by RONE in Fitzroy. “Never enough”. I look forward to it’s completion. HDR
A lovely bit of street art in Footscray. This time a small penguin who seems to have something to celebrate. Maybe the fact that he has escaped the daily rituals of the penguins in Phillip Island? HDR.
More street art from Footscray, these are two Australian Aborigine stamps on the railway wall.
Nice street art found in Footscray of a giraffe.
Third of three terrific street art works by Urbanmonk, found in Footscray. I really love these. Another TV head. Urbanmonk is also responsible for my recent post of the lego men street art in Spotswood.

Three more shots of the awesome work of RONE. These ones are public street art. Two are of ‘Unstoppable’ on the side of the Vegie bar in Fitzroy, (great restaurant by the way), the other is a block away and shows ‘Don’t stop’ again.

Street art from RONE in Fitzroy, just around the corner from Backwoods Gallery where his current exhibition is held. “Don’t Stop” (The don’t is around the corner out of shot).

Perhaps the best known street artist in Melbourne is Rone. His work appears on the side of my favourite restaurant, the Vegie bar (great website too) in Bruswick Street, and in many other spots. This smaller poster was down a lane also in Fitzroy. Rone currently has an exhibition at the Backwoods Gallery, 25 Easey Street, Collingwood, called ‘Fall from Grace’. I plan to visit on Wednesday before it finishes on the 15th July 2012.

There are a few of these around. This lovely tree wearing scarf is in Fitzroy. More great monster face street art in the background as well.
Only in Australia would you see street art of a cockatoo carrying a wombat! Wombat stew perhaps? Spotted in Fitzroy
Street art from Fitzroy. Spray painting of a jumping lemur.
Street art from Fitzroy. Spray painting of a balloon flying hippo!
More street art from Fitzroy. Some aqua creature being chased by a scuba diver.
More awesome street art in Chapel Street, Fitzroy. This is probably the most prominent and largest work in the area. It is superb. Five boys (perhaps from the 50′s) getting up to mischief. The wall is real, the door is real, the art is on wood that has been secured to the wall. Great stuff!
Awesome street art in Chapel Street, Fitzroy. Love this spot. This girl can be seen on a second level of a house or shop, looking rather sad. Pretty in pink.
