Threatened with extinction, these hooded plovers are found on the beach in Anglesea, Victoria. There are apparently only about 600 left within Victoria. You can see the Split Point Lighthouse off in the distance.
Some lovely moss covered trees found in the parklands of Mt Macedon.
Some lovely red seaweed on the beach.

Strange. This seagull, moments before I took this photo, was sitting quietly on the very still water down here in Williamstown. As I snapped he very suddenly dove down into the water to what I can only assume, was to catch his breakfast!

The brightest starfish I've ever seen! Found close to the rockpool I showed yesterday. Aireys Inlet, Victoria, Australia.
You can find a flying seagull here on my 'other' page posting of 6th October 2006, but today a seagull waiting patiently for some food.
