"Crate Man Rides Again" Wednesday 11th June 2008 |
"Retyred" Tuesday 10th June 2008 |
I've shown my dog Maggie before here when she was just a puppy, but now she is six months old. This was taken just after bath time. Maggie is a mini Groodle (Golden Retriever crossed with a miniature poodle). |
Crate Man has now made three appearances on this site. He first appeared on the 17th March 2008 here, and then again on the 16th April here. Today, a new crate man has appeared, also along the Newport Railway line, but this time riding a mobile crane like a cowboy, hat and all. This is my favourite. I hear there is also another new one in the city which I will endeavour to shoot shortly and will also show here. Go Crate Man! |
Water logged tyre, luckily no car attached. |

One of the tug boats which look after the large container ships as they make their way into the bay and under the westgate bridge. |

Well I've shown 'Milk Crate Man' before here, but just around the corner you will find another version, this time taking a break sitting down, looking across towards the city. He is perched above the old railway yards next to the Newport Mill. |

"In A Hole" Wednesday 2nd April 2008 |
"Magnets" Monday 31st March 2008 |
An old monkey toy covered with red fur, an old favourite for sure. |
This seagull found itself 'in a hole' when it rested on a cricket pitch in Williamstown recently. It is actually sitting in a spot designed to take the cricket stumps! |
Perhaps a bit abstract today, some magnets on a whiteboard. |

"Change" Tuesday 5th February 2008 |
"Maggie, mini groodle" Sunday 20th January 2008 |
The Sea Shepherd Conversation Society has renamed one of it's vessels the " Steve Irwin" after the great environmentalist and family man who also ran the Australia Zoo. It has been docked in Melbourne over the last couple of weeks, whilst it refuelled during a break from it's crusade against whaling, particularly by the Japanese. More on there current fight can be found at the ABC site here. Donations to the society can be made here, more information about it's whaling cause can be found here. |
Ever wonder how they change the light globes on the Westgate Bridge? Well now you know. They say a change is as good as a holiday, but I don't think it would be terribly relaxing up one of these cranes! |
Our new lovely mini groodle, Maggie. She is a mini poodle crossed with a golden retriever. She makes for a wonderful companion for our Schnoodle (schnauzer cross poodle) Molly, and retriever cross Billy. Here, she is just 8 weeks old. |
