Malmsbury

"Taradale" Sunday 4th November 2007
"Malmsbury" Friday 3rd November 2007
Another lovely residence just out of Malmsbury in country Victoria.
Just south of Malmsbury which I showed on Friday, is an even smaller town, Taradale. This is a bridge you can spot as you come down into the town on the Calder Highway.
A old residence found just out of a lovely, small country town on the Calder Highway, North of Melbourne, Malmsbury. Information about the town can be found here.

More from Mooroopna near Shepparton.
Just out of Shepparton, two hours north of Melbourne lies a small country town called Mooroopna. Here lies an old abandoned service station / roadhouse.
More from my visit to Aireys inlet last weekend. A great spot to search for crabs with the family.

"Aireys Inlet" Monday 8th October 2007
The lovely lighthouse found in Aireys Inlet. It is called the Split Point Lighthose and more information about the attraction can be found here.
Anglesea. Ten minutes closer to Melbourne than yesterdays shot in Aireys Inlet. A great place for a holiday house with many great beaches and a very relaxing feel to the town.
Aireys inlet is about 100 minutes out of Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road. A lovely seaside town with great beaches and a popular lighthouse.
Yallourn Power Station
Somers Camp

Clunes Countryside

"Yallourn Power Station" Wednesday 18th July 2007
"Somers Camp" Monday 4th June 2007
"Clunes Countryside" Saturday 2nd June 2007
Located two and half hours East of Melbourne in country Victoria is Yallourn, where you'll find this imposing power station.
Somers camp, located on the Mornington peninsula has been around for years. Kids get to enjoy, rope skills, abseiling, archery, boating, cooking, art, dancing and much more. On the way down to the beach are these boats all ready for the next days activities. I was at the camp yesterday visiting my son who is having the time of his life.
About 90 minutes North West of Melbourne is the country town of Clunes. Here is a sample of the lovely landscapes you can experience up in the area. Quite a difference to my 'landscape' shot from the 4th April here. Whilst it was shot in a different part of Victoria, it shows what a diffrence a good week of rain can make. At last the drought seems to be breaking. Great to see the lovely green grass back with us.
Cormorant and seaplane
Geelong Pier
Sheep Hill
"Cormorant and seaplane" Tuesday 8th May 2007
"Geelong Pier" Wednesday 18th April 2007
"Sheep Hill" Wednesday 4th April 2007
I've shown a seaplane that works from Williamstown before here, in my 'Williamstown' posting of Thursday 5th October 2006, and also in the background of my post here of 23rd November 2006. Today though, a different seaplane that works from Geelong, 45 minutes south west of Melbourne. It is run by Bay City planes, and full information can be found at their own website here. I wonder if the cormorant looking on was wishing he could take a flight and save his wings.
The Geelong Pier. At the end is an 'all you can eat restuarant'. Geelong is a small city, 45 mins out of Melbourne, and has a lovely foreshore full of interesting things to do. It makes for a great day trip from Melbourne. More from Geelong soon.
Half way to Swan Hill on a back road, I came across this small hill completely covered in sheep, thus the title! Take note of the complete lack of grass... who says we're in a drought!
